We are pleased to announce that the IP team at Tabakov, Tabakova & Partners Law Firm has successfully prepared, in close cooperation with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the documentation required for the registration of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) “Naturalna mineralna voda Hissar”/ “Naturalna mineralna voda Hissarya”/ “Hissarska naturalna mineralna voda” in the Register of Geographical Indications of the European Union.
This project marks an important step toward the protection and promotion of the authentic origin and high quality of Bulgaria’s natural resources. The PDO registration in the EU register ensures that the designation may only be used for water sourced from the region of Hissarya — an area that meets strictly defined natural and qualitative characteristics.
We are proud to have contributed to this strategic process, which safeguards the interests of local producers and strengthens the reputation of the Hissarya region at the European level.
